Dratmond Green We Would Say No to Trump White House Again

Draymond Green pushes back on Maxine Waters, doubles downwards on not visiting White House

During an episode of  CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" Monday night, Warriors forrad Draymond Green discussed Maxine Waters, Donald Trump and race relations in America.

Host Chris Cuomo played the now-viral video prune of Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters calling for the public harassment of Trump administration officials, and asked the Warriors star for his thoughts.

"As an American, you understand the frustration, but I just want to make certain we're all careful of doing things the right way, continuing to go where our state was heading, and not where's it been heading the last twelvemonth and a half," Light-green said. "Nosotros have to stay mindful that if we desire things to alter, make sure we're going about information technology the right way to touch on that change and not what our mind may tell united states of america initially."

Cuomo said that Green'due south response was "unsatisfying," and suggested that Dark-green was telling people to only "accept information technology" from the Trump administration. The host then asked Dark-green how he would sell his message every bit not being as well "soft."

"Well I think you fight back strategically," Green said. "Almost of the time you lot meet force with force, which you accept to ... Yous have to be strategic with it. If yous run into someone with forcefulness and strategy, you're going to beat them every time, as opposed to just coming together them with forcefulness, because their forcefulness may have no strategy."

Green was then asked if the team would make the same decision to not visit the White House should they win the NBA Finals over again adjacent year.

"I know we would make the same decision and not go," Greenish said. "It's non about not seeing Donald Trump or annihilation else that goes with it but more so about what nosotros stand for. In society to affect change, you have to stand for something...

"Our goal is to affect some alter and utilise our platform to practice that, which is why we chose not to get to the White House, because it would but be the status quo if we did."
